The Salem Paper & Print Art Fair

Paper is one of our oldest and enduring artistic materials. It can be drawn on, folded, cut, layered, printed, or cast, carrying the weight of both idea and labor. For the first annual Salem Paper and Print Art Fair: First Impressions, we are celebrating the timeless romance of works on paper, analog traditional processes, and the power of the written word.

In a world of the digital and intangible, we are reclaiming the physical page and the analog as an act of quiet revolution. Our event will take place during Independent Bookstore Month and will feature over 40 fine art and book vendors, workshops, book and poetry readings, and children's activities. The Art Fair will be free and open to the public.

In the evening, the Grand Ballroom will transform into a ticketed Romantasy themed book lovers' ball. With live music, food, a open bar, and the art and book vendor floor, this costumes-encouraged event is an invitation to step inside the story. It’s an evening where the boundary between the reader and the written word disappears, celebrating the characters we love and the worlds we wish we lived in.

Attend the Ball

The Booklover's Ball is an evening for everyone who has ever finished a book and wished they could stay. On April 18th, the Grand Ballroom opens for live music, an open bar, 25+ independent artists and authors on the vendor floor, and a room full of people who dressed for the occasion.

Costumes and formalwear encouraged. Tickets are limited.
